February Favorites

Since today is the second to last day of the month I would like to show you all some of my favorite things of the month and some things I really want! Im going to NYC for spring break and cannot wait to go to the Brandy Melville store because I desperatley need to go spring clothes shopping and they have the cutest stuff! I love all these things so much but unfortunately do not have all that is pictured…I want the Adidas shoes so badly but they are sold out everywhere and won’t get them in stock until April!! Im a girl so obviously I always want new makeup but unfortunately makeup is very expensive so I can’t have everything lol. Throwbacks aka My Faves

Okay so I decided to do a little throwback post on all my favorite movies, tv shows and music of my childhood! I’m a 90’s kid so obviously I was born during the prime of Disney, the peak of cheesy movies and music. Here is a little jump on the timeline of music, tv shows and movies that I still have no shame to say I watch and listen to daily lol.  Music and movies from my childhood were inspiring, cute and fun. Nowadays they are just about sex and stupidity. I know I left a lot out but i thought I would just post a couple. btw who else who is super excited about Fuller House coming to Netflix this week? Also all of these shows should be on Netflix!

Crystal Bridges Art Museum!

Tonight I went to Crystal Bridges Art Museum with a couples girls in my sorority and some alumni. This museum is absolutely breathtaking! I hope to go back very soon because I didn’t get to see all of it:( The museum is 30 minutes away from campus which is very convenient and would be a great day trip. I could spend hours at Crystal Bridges, they have a little restaurant and has a lot of different exhibits. Officially an Apartment Owner!

Two weeks ago I signed my first lease for an apartment with 2 of my best friends, I am super excited. In awe of leasing an apartment I had to go on a Pinterest spree getting ideas on how to design my room, I am definitely looking for a chic look. Ive decided my color scheme will be off white, rose gold, tiffany blue, grey and blush pink…this is very girly which is unlike me but I love it because it will give a clean chic look. So here are some pictures for some ideas and hopefully some of them will actually come true lol. Give me y’alls opinion on this and where to get some cute home decor:) I already have the bedding in the first picture on my bed in my dorm and my bedroom so clearly I might just use that again…btw most of this stuff is from Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie

My Automatic Best Friend for Life

So most people who have older siblings aren’t very close with them, but I am extremely lucky. My brother is my best friend, he is 2 years older than me so we have a lot in common. We live in different states right now because of college so its make it harder but we basically talk everyday.

He is my inspiration, at 16 my brother decided he wanted to be a surgeon, he has shadowed so many different kinds of doctors and was even accepted into a pre med program that only accepts 9 out of 4000 applicants! Recently he took the MCAT and i bet he killed it and gets his dream to go to Dell Medical School. He is extremely smart, witty, caring and honestly the best brother a girl could ask for! Its also a bonus that he lives in Austin, because I love being able to visit him a lot in one of the coolest cities. My brother and I do a lot together, here a couple recent memories I have with him. Reminder we don’t see other much because we live in different states 8 months out of the year!

Photoshoots and Galentine’s Day!

So yesterday, My roommate and her friends asked me to take pictures of them for Galentine’s Day. I was a little lazy so I just took pictures on my phone. They are super cute and I had a lot of fun taking the pictures. I don’t really like being photographed but I like being the photographer. So here is a little sneak peek of the photoshoot that was actually taken outside of my dorm building lol. It was a true Alpha Chi Omega photoshoot haha so it was a cute sisterhood bonding moment. Shoutout to these girlies for letting me take their pictures, it was nice getting a fun study break! I hope you all like them and have a great Valentines Day<3

I have to be honest, I absolutely love makeup! Sephora is my favorite store, I have to control myself every time I go there because I would blow through my money otherwise. I decided I wanted to share with y’all the makeup that I use everyday. This is not all my makeup lol. My roommate and I basically talk about makeup everyday…its fun!

After I graduate college, I am hoping to get eyelash extensions, all the vloggers I watch have them and they are gorgeous! It would definitely make getting ready a lot easier. So here is my everyday collection:)

Bonjour Paris

When I went to London 2 years ago, I also went to Paris. To be honest I didn’t like it at all, I got called a stupid american when i asked for directions. The city is very hard to get around if you do not speak french but it is very pretty. I took a bus that took me to all the popular spots and it was wonderful and easy. The food in France is to die for! I went to this tiny gelato place basically everyday lol. I had a lot of crepes of course:)

When in Paris, you have to go shopping. Being from Dallas aka the shopping capital of the south its kind of hard for me to be amazed by shopping in other places…but Paris shopping is incredible and an experience everyone should have. I felt like Blair Waldorf shopping in Paris. Paris showed me my inner Holy Golightly for sure, I felt classy, sophisticated and on top of the world.

How to stay inspired?

Always set goals for yourself each day or make a to do list in the notes section on your phone. Make a playlist on Spotify that puts you in good mood. Make your phone wallpaper a cute inspirational quote…this is mine right now!

Writing quotes in your planner will also keep you motivated and inspired. Making lists….

I have heard this saying a lot in tv shows and movies but never really followed it until I came to Arkansas. I was blessed to have the best guy friends a girl could ask for! There names are Alex, Dylan, Brad, Caleb, Seth and Jeffery. They are the funniest people I have ever met and are basically my family here in Arkansas. Here are some of the memories I have made with them so far… going to my first function called Paint your Date, Halloween Function, Semi Formal, Haunted houses, football games and getting on ESPN. Its never a dull moment with these guys, having guy best friends definitely makes life more fun and drama free.
